My Order Was Automatically Refunded — What Now?

If your order was refunded without you requesting it, you may be wondering why and what happens next. This article explains the most common reasons for automatic refunds, how long they take, and what your options are if you still want the gift card.

🔍 Why Was My Order Automatically Refunded?

Automatic refunds happen when our system or the gift card provider cannot fulfil your order. The most common reasons are:

  • The gift card was out of stock — the specific card or denomination you ordered was unavailable at the time of processing

  • A provider-side error — the gift card supplier encountered a technical issue that prevented delivery

  • Processing failure after payment — the order was paid but the system was unable to retrieve or assign a card to it

  • Compliance or security review — in rare cases, a payment may be returned due to fraud prevention checks

In all of these cases, a refund is issued automatically to protect you. You have not lost your money.

⏱️ How Long Does the Refund Take?

Refund timelines depend on your original payment method:

🪙 Cryptocurrency

  • Refunds are typically processed within 1–3 business days

  • Make sure to provide your correct wallet address and network — this is essential for the refund to reach you

  • If your payment was underpaid or expired, manual verification may be required before the refund can be issued

💳 Card Payments

  • If your card payment resulted in a failed order, the funds were most likely never actually charged — your bank placed a temporary pre-authorisation hold

  • This hold is released automatically, usually within 3 business days, but can take up to 7 business days

  • You will not see a separate "refund" entry — the reserved amount simply becomes available again

💸 SEPA Bank Transfer

  • SEPA refunds can take up to 7 business days due to banking schedules, weekends, and holidays

  • In some cases, you may receive a refund form by email — complete this promptly to avoid delays

  • Ensure your IBAN, BIC, and payment reference were entered correctly to prevent further delays

🛒 I Still Want the Gift Card — Can I Reorder?

Yes — once your refund has been processed and the funds are back in your account, you are welcome to place a new order.

Before reordering, it is worth checking:

  • Whether the item is back in stock (if it was an availability issue)

  • That you select the correct region for the card you need

  • That your payment details are accurate to avoid another failed order

⚠️ Do not place a new order before your refund arrives if you are still waiting — you could end up paying for the same item twice.

❓ I Haven't Received My Refund Yet

If you believe your order was refunded but the funds have not appeared yet:

  1. Check the timeframes above for your payment method — the refund may still be processing

  2. Check your spam or junk email folder for any refund form or confirmation email

  3. If the expected timeframe has passed, contact our support team with your 7-digit order number and proof of original payment

🚫 Please Do Not Open Multiple Tickets

If you have already raised the issue with us, please wait for a response before sending another message. Multiple tickets for the same issue create delays rather than speeding things up. One clear, detailed message is always the fastest way to get help.
