Fees explained
Platform fees from CoinGate Gift Cards
CoinGate Gift Cards does not add a service fee or markup on top of the listed gift card price. The price you see on the product page is what you pay. There are no surprises at checkout on our end.
Crypto network fees
If you pay with cryptocurrency, blockchain network fees (sometimes called "miner fees" or "gas fees") may apply. These fees go to the blockchain network - not to CoinGate Gift Cards. The amount depends on the cryptocurrency you use and current network conditions. Bitcoin and Ethereum fees can vary widely; Litecoin and stablecoins on low-fee networks tend to be much cheaper.
Card payment fees
Paying by credit or debit card is free on CoinGate Gift Cards. However, your bank or card issuer may apply a foreign transaction fee if the transaction is processed as an international payment. Check with your bank if you are unsure whether this applies to your card.
Currency conversion
If the gift card is priced in a different currency than your card or wallet, your payment provider may apply a currency conversion rate or fee. This is set by your bank or exchange - not by CoinGate Gift Cards.
SEPA transfer fees
SEPA bank transfers are generally free within the EU. Some banks may still charge a small transfer fee - check with your bank before paying by SEPA.
